AT&TOur lives revolve entirely around our smartphones. For whatever reason, we keep staring at the screen. The only thing that keeps us connected to the rest of the world is the internet. However, having constant access to unlimited internet access is prohibitively expensive. Not everyone can afford a fast internet connection for their smartphones. What is the alternative to less expensive plans, you may wonder? Let us investigate!
There are numerous options for AT&T mobile broadband plans, just as there are for home internet plans. It depends on how you use your phone; if you spend a lot of time texting, you'll want a plan that suits you! If calling is your only option, you'll want a plan that allows you to do so. Perhaps a plan that includes unlimited calling throughout the United States. If, on the other hand, you spend your entire day surfing the internet, streaming YouTube or other streaming services, you'll need a mobile internet plan with unlimited data.

Key Points:
Both limited and unlimited data plans are available.
Limited 5G coverage in most areas.
Prepaid service is an option.
AT&T provides flexibility with a choice between limited and unlimited data plans. The $50 4 gigabytes (GB) plan suits those with moderate data needs, while unlimited plans starting at $65 cater to users anticipating higher usage. The unlimited plans, ranging from the $65 Starter Unlimited to the $85 Unlimited Elite, offer additional benefits with increasing costs, such as more mobile hotspot data and higher-resolution video streaming.
All plans utilize AT&T's extensive 4G network, while 5G access is exclusive to unlimited data subscribers. Although AT&T's 5G coverage is not as extensive as T-Mobile's, it surpasses Verizon's coverage.
Beyond postpaid subscriptions, AT&T offers prepaid services under the AT&T Prepaid and Cricket Wireless brands. Customers comfortable with device purchases and without the need for extras like international roaming should evaluate prepaid plans before opting for a postpaid AT&T plan.
For traditional postpaid subscriptions, AT&T offers one limited data plan and three unlimited data plans, each with specific data use restrictions. The $50 4 GB plan is suitable for those using a modest amount of data. While lacking 5G access, this plan allows unlimited data usage on mobile hotspots.
The $65 Starter Unlimited plan, AT&T's most affordable unlimited option, excludes mobile hotspot usage and offers zero priority data, potentially leading to slowed connections during network congestion. The pricier unlimited plans, $75 Unlimited Extra and $85 Unlimited Elite, include 50 GB and unlimited priority data, along with 15 GB and 40 GB of mobile hotspot usage, respectively.
AT&T's prepaid plans provide more choices, starting with a 5 GB, $30 plan. The 8 GB plan costs $25 per month when prepaid annually at $300 upfront. The limited-plan selection concludes with a 15 GB plan for $40 per month. Additionally, AT&T Prepaid offers two unlimited plans at $50 per month with auto-pay. One lacks priority data and mobile hotspot usage, while the other includes 22 GB of priority data and 10 GB of mobile hotspot usage, making it the sole prepaid plan with 5G access at AT&T.
AT&T Internet has only one plan to offer: The plan is quite old and reasonably priced. This AT&T internet plan includes 6GB of data per month. You also get a rollover service. You can use your leftover data from the previous month for this service. The only restriction is that you can only use this data for the next 30 days. The reason you don't see this plan very often is that AT&T's wireless page does not display it. The cost of this plan is only $40 per month. You also get unlimited calling and texting throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Only the most reputable providers provide unlimited mobile internet plans. There aren't many of them, and the plans are prohibitively expensive. Sprint and T-Mobile are two examples of such service providers. Their unlimited plans range in price from $75 to $100 per month. That is more than "affordable."
All of the best-unlimited plans will cost you this much, but what if there is a plan that can provide you with a lot of data, calling, and texting? That's an offer we'd all take.
