What is the 5G connection? And, why you don't know much about it

What is the 5G connection? And, why you don't know much about it

This new technology could be an affordable, fast alternative to conventional home cheap internet services. The survey says that Americans don't know a lot about 5G. (Learn why 5G internet matters)

Facts:

- In order to get their views on 5G, its features, and whether or not they intend to update their devices in the near future, we surveyed 1,260 individuals.

- 81% of respondents were not sure if in the future they would (or said they would not) use 5G as their home Internet solution.

- 57% of respondents do not expect their next phone to be 5G capable or are not sure whether it is, while most devices manufactured this year are expected to be 5G-enabled for potential use.

It would appear like 5G was a ubiquitous technology that everyone was excited about if you just looked at the ads and homepages of major tech companies these days. And although the 5G rollout is humming along, albeit unevenly, it would appear like most Americans do not realize the potential game-changing advantages of 5G.

Best 5G Plan For 2021

1. AT&T - AT&T Unlimited Extra
2. Verizon - Verizon Play More Unlimited
3. Xfinity Internet -  Xfinity Mobile Plan

5G considered as Home Internet Solution

Surveying over 1,200 individuals, we found that 81 percent thought they weren't sure whether they would use 5G as a home internet alternative or said they wouldn't. Is this because the ability is not known to most individuals?

Lack of understanding leads to more 5G conspiracy theories

We've also recorded that 86% of people say they're unconcerned about conspiracies with 5G technology. So it's not as if, in any event, everybody is up all night thinking about 5G.

We wonder if, as seen above, this general lack of information about 5G has helped fuel these conspiratorial ideas. 5G conspiracies have been consistently debunked, to be clear.

So, What do we know so far?

The hallmarks of the 5G home internet are speed and affordability. Verizon rates, for instance, are just $50/mo. For up to 1,000 Mbps speeds. Right now, with mainly wireless operators and developers leading the way for rollout and coverage, it's a matter of availability.

So as technology progresses and people understand the capabilities, we'll most likely see more 5G-connected houses, a quicker internet solution that runs into your house without cables.

Many individuals are actually unaware in our survey that 5G technology presents this kind of home-internet replacement solution.

If you are trying to get rid of the typical cable provider via Verizon or AT&T for a contract, you can do just that with 5G in many places.
